Cyberbullying

My name‿ is Sam,│ an(d) when‿ I was fourteen,│ a group‿ of classmates created‿ an‿ anonymous‿ account‿ an(d) started sending me messages. They threatened me,│ spread rumours‿ about my family,│ an(d) posted photographs‿ of me│ that I^{thad I} had never seen.

I was‿ upset for‿ a month│ and‿ I tol(d) nobody. I deleted the app‿ an(d) pretended‿ it was not happening. Then my father saw my phone,│ an(d) he did three things:│ he took‿ a screenshot‿ of‿ everything,│ he blocked the account,│ an(d) he reported‿ it to the school. The school called the parents,│ an(d) the messages stopped‿ in‿ a week. The police can‿ also help,│ because threatening somebody online‿ is‿ a crime‿ in my country.

Now I speak‿ up│ whenever‿ I see it. If somebody is being bullied,│ I tell‿ a teacher,│ and‿ I stay with the person‿ at break,│ because the wors(t) part‿ is feeling‿ alone. I also tell younger students two things:│ do not reply,│ an(d) never keep‿ it secret. It‿ is not your fault,│ and‿ it does not disappear by itself.
