UNIT 9: TRAVELING AND CULTURE
My name‿ is Grace. I studied history at university,│ and‿ I love historical sites. Las(t) spring,│ I visited‿ an‿ ancien(t) temple‿ in the mountains with my brother.
The ruins‿ are 800 years‿ old,│ an(d) workers have restored part‿ of them. A tour guide‿ explained‿ everything:│ who buil(t) the temple,│ how people lived,│ an(d) why they left. The ticket‿ office was small,│ but the site was‿ amazing.
My brother liked the landmark‿ in the cityci-dy more:│ a big tower from the 19th century. It‿ is the symbol‿ of‿ our country,│ and‿ it‿ appears‿ on postcards. I think we mus(t) protec(t) both‿ old‿ an(d) modern places. If we do not care for them,│ in fiftyfif-dy years they will be gone.
