UNIT 7: SPORTS
My name‿ is‿ Iris. I played volleyball for ten years,│ an(d) now I run marathons. Team sports‿ and‿ individual sports‿ are very different.
In volleyball,│ you depend‿ on your teammates. When we lost,│ we los(t) together,│ an(d) when we won,│ we celebrated together. The coach motivated‿ us,│ an(d) the team gave me energy. But sometimes the pressure was hard,│ because one mistake was‿ everybody's problem.
Running‿ is‿ individual. When‿ I train,│ I am‿ alone,│ an(d) nobody can help me. That‿ is difficult,│ but the achievemen(t) feels complete:│ my result‿ is mine. I am responsible for‿ everything,│ good‿ an(d) bad. I like both,│ but for differen(t) reasons.
