Leadership‿ in the workplace

My name‿ is Tina,│ and‿ I am‿ in charge‿ of‿ a small team‿ of six people. Two years‿ ago,│ I became‿ a manager,│ and‿ it was not‿ easy at first,│ because my friends became my staff.

Now I try to listen to everybody│ before‿ I make‿ a decision. Every Friday,│ I give feedback to my team:│ what was good‿ an(d) what we can do better^be-der. I always praise people│ when they do a good job,│ and‿ I never blame‿ anybody in front‿ of the others.

A good manager needs to trus(t) the team. When we have‿ a problem,│ we solve‿ it together,│ an(d) that builds team spirit. I am responsible for the results,│ but the team does the work. I am still learning,│ and‿ I ask my manager for‿ advice.
