UNIT 2: HOME AND NEIGHBORHOOD
My name‿ is‿ Emma. I moved‿ into this neighborhood‿ eight years‿ ago,│ when my daughterdau-der was‿ a baby. The buildings‿ are not new,│ but the streets‿ are clean,│ an(d) there‿ is‿ a park with‿ a playground.
My neighbors‿ are friendly. When we moved‿ in,│ the woman nex(t) door brought‿ us‿ a cake. We get‿ on well with mos(t) people here. We lend‿ each‿ other tools,│ and‿ in summer we look│ after‿ each‿ other's cats│ when someone goes‿ on holiday.
The only problem‿ is parking. There‿ are too many cars│ an(d) not‿ enough spaces,│ so sometimes‿ I have tohafta park two streets‿ away. But the neighborhood‿ is safe,│ an(d) there‿ is‿ a real community here. I cannot‿ imagine living‿ anywhere‿ else.
