Budgeting‿ an(d) spending

Money is hard! My name‿ is Marta,│ and‿ I make‿ a budget‿ every month. I write‿ on paper:│ rent,│ food,│ bus,│ phone,│ an(d) fun. Then‿ I know how much‿ I can spend.

I spend‿ about 40 percent‿ on rent‿ and 20 percent‿ on food. Food‿ is‿ expensive here,│ so I make‿ a list│ before‿ I go to the store. I do not buy a lot of^{a lotta} clothes.

I am careful with my money,│ and‿ I save‿ a little^li-dle‿ every week. When‿ I have‿ extra money,│ I put it^pudit‿ in the bank. A budget‿ is‿ a good plan,│ and‿ it‿ is free. I feel better^be-der│ when‿ I follow my plan.
